The Autumn Task
of picking fallen leaves
of golden hues from burgundy trees
That pile so high
playing in the wind
Dancing, if you will,
they cannot stand still
With swirls and twirls
of laughter and delight
making their flight
to the turning ground
To be swept in heaps,
piled high the leaves
of golden hues from burgundy trees
Oh my, how grand,
this autumn task at hand.
